Open data

Our figures are open

Every review platform keeps its data behind a sign-up. That has a price: you cannot check anything, so every story about trustworthiness is something you have to believe. Here you fetch the figures yourself, without a key and without an account.

What you can fetch

Four addresses, all a plain GET and without a key. Responses are JSON and are cached for an hour.

GET /api/v1/open
A description of this route, in the response itself. Documentation kept elsewhere falls behind the moment someone changes something; this comes along.
GET /api/v1/open/stats
The totals of the platform: businesses, published reviews and how many were taken off a page after a decision.
GET /api/v1/open/companies?page=1
All public businesses, a hundred per page, with score, number of reviews, industry and city. In order of sign-up and not by score: a ranking whose order we decide does not belong here.
GET /api/v1/open/companies/{slug}
One business, with what was taken off its page and for what reason, how its complaints ended, and how many of its invitations led to a review.

What is not in it, and why

  • No review texts. They are on the company page and can be read there. Handing them out in bulk here would turn this route into a way to build an archive of other people’s words.
  • No writer names and no addresses. A name next to a review is something else than a name in a file anyone can download.
  • One thousand requests per hour per sender. Ample for anyone paging through the whole list, tight enough that one script does not eat the service for everyone else.
  • Free to use, including commercially, with attribution to klantreviews.online. We charge nothing for it and you do not have to register.
